Town Elections: Mayor & Council

May 5, 2020

Residents of the Town of Vienna who will be 18 years old by May 5, 2020 are eligible to vote in Town elections. In Vienna, terms are staggered; the Mayor and three Town Council members are elected in even years and three Town Council members are elected in odd years. This year, three candidates are running for Mayor and seven candidates are running for three open Town Council seats.

The Vienna Votes Project

Vienna Votes is an educational outreach effort to increase voter participation in the Town of Vienna, Virginia. Our goal is to make sure all citizens have easy access to the resources they need to register to vote and make informed decisions at the polls.

Voter Registration


Only qualified voters in the Town of Vienna are eligible to vote in Town Elections.

Register to Vote

The deadline to register to vote with the Fairfax County Office of Elections is April 13.

Absentee Ballot

In-person absentee voting begins March 20. Or request a ballot by mail before April 28.

Go to the Polls

Vote in-person on May 5 (Tuesday) from 6 AM - 7 PM.
